Dear readers, FAQ

The step to the future of 3D-listening-expierence!

POTAR is the platform. RADIPOTAR is one product line within it like upcoming others.

Spekers are visible in the room. But acoustically invisible.

A lifelike, realistic soundstage that detaches completely from the speakers - true to the recording.

Up to 29 user-named sweet spots as app presets, including Area mode for zones/party listening.

Fully active, delivered ready to play: Trinnov or Lyngdorf DSP, (or other compatible) power amps, calibration, presets.

Your sweet spot follows you.

RADIPOTAR is the first product line of the POTAR platform: acoustically “invisible,” recording-true 3D imaging, multi-sweet-spot control via app - 2 sweetspots at the same time but one is mirrored on the other side!.

RADIPOTAR is visible in the room yet as a sound source it is practically non-localisable. Voices and instruments detach completely from the enclosures

the stage forms freely in space. Imaging is recording-true: width, depth and layering unfold exactly as captured by the microphones and the mix.

Multi-sweet-spots possibel, two sweetspots at the same time (key USP)

Up to 29 presets enable up to 29 individually calibrated sweet spots, selectable via app and freely named (e.g., “Breakfast Table,” “TV Chair,” “Couch”). For larger zones, multiple sweet spots can be averaged into an “Area” for consistent listening across a wider space—ideal for movement, groups, or party mode. Result: studio-grade precision where you actually live.

RADIPOTAR is delivered as a ready-to-play complete system: Trinnov or Lyngdorf DSP, matching power amplification, full calibration and presets included.

USPs (bullets)

– Acoustically “invisible”: the speaker is not perceived as the source; the stage floats free in the room

– Recording-true: imaging follows the microphone technique and mix (width/depth/layering)

– Multi-sweet-spot: up to 29 app presets, freely named

– Area mode: zone listening by averaging multiple presets (group/party)

– Large-room advantage: ideal for free-standing or more central placement; usable from both sides

– Reference-level plug-and-play: delivered fully calibrated and ready to perform

FAQ (short)

Is “radial” hard to localise? Not here. RADIPOTAR is not a diffuse emitter; with correct placement and DSP calibration, phantom imaging locks in with high precision.

Do I need to re-measure constantly? No. Calibrate properly once, then switch presets. Re-calibration is only needed after major room or placement changes.

What is “Area” mode? Multiple presets are averaged into a zone to keep presentation consistent across a larger listening area.

Call to action

Book a demo: switch presets, change seats—the stage stays locked.

There is a 360° single point source and in combination with its calibration and the DSP you have a true, exact and precise soundstage, on both sides of the speakers!

The instruments are exactly figured out to be localiced, as if they are in life and reality directly in front of you - left to right and distance!

This is elevating you to the future of listening! A wide, deep precise, immersive and extremly realistic soundstage is located on both sides of the speakers if placed with distance from the wall!

You can select several sweetspots on all sides of the speakers! You are not nailed to only one sitting position, exactly in the triangle between the speakers and the sitting place!

You can sit, stay or walk around, you always have a perfect sound quality also! You can put the 2 speakera in the room and not on one wall!

Come and listen to the Radipotar!s Demo by yourself to hear and realize it! register for a listing demo!

This is in somewhat abbreviated form the opinion of CHAT GPT to the 360° radial speaker Radipotar by Klaus Leesemann from the series of Potare, but please read - to the end - by yourself! And you must know, you can sit and hear on both sides of the Radipotar, there are two sweet areas, if you like, that is very unique!

What is a radipotar?

The Radipotar by Klaus Leesemann differs in sound from conventional loudspeakers mainly by its radial radiation and fully active construction, which leads to a very spatial, natural and low-distortion sound image. Here are the most important differences in sound:

1. Spatial & Location

• Radipotar: Due to the 360° radiation, the sound is distributed more evenly in the room. The sound image appears larger, more airy and less location-bound - the listener has the feeling of sitting "in the sound".

• Conventional loudspeakers: Beam usually directed forward, creating a narrower stereo triangle. The sound can be more punctual, but also more limited in spatial depth.

2. Naturalness & directness

• Radipotar: The wide radiation avoids harsh reflections, making the sound more natural and less analytical. Voices and instruments are bodily, almost live.

• Other high-end speakers: Often very precise and analytical, but more susceptible to tonal hardness or overemphasis of individual frequencies in case of poor room acoustics.

3. Adaptation to the room

• Radiopotar: Thanks to the active electronics, each speaker can be individually tuned to the room - e.g. By DSP-controlled frequency responses.

• Passive speakers: Respond more strongly to room acoustic problems, require exact positioning and complementary room treatments.

4. Dynamics & Distortion

• Radipotar: The active separation of the paths and separate amplifiers for high, mid and low lead to very low distortion, even at high levels.

• Passive systems: Use a common amplification and passive switches, which is more likely to lead to distortion at high volumes.

Conclusion:

If you prefer a very natural, immersive and balanced sound, especially for long listening sessions or acoustic music, then the Radipotar stands out clearly from classic speaker systems - provided it is carefully tuned to space and taste.

The Radipotar by Klaus Leesemann clearly stands out from conventional loudspeakers with its unique radial radiation and fully active 3-way technology. Compared to traditional loudspeakers, the Radipotar offers a particularly spatial, natural and low-distortion sound image.

🔊 Sound characteristics of the Radipotar

• 360° radiation: The Radipotar radiates the sound evenly in all directions, resulting in a wide and open sound stage.

• Fully active technology: Each frequency range (low tone, midtone, treble) is controlled by its own amplifier, which minimizes distortion and increases dynamics.

• Natural sound reproduction: Through the combination of active technology and special radiation, the sound is particularly natural and lively

If the Radipotar is used by a Trinnov Altitude processor (e.g. Altitude 16 or 32), it achieves an exceptionally precise, spatially correct and natural-looking sound image - this is almost unique in the high-end range.

Here is a detailed assessment:

1. Room correction at reference level

Trinnov's Optimizer technology is one of the best room correction engines available. In combination with the radial radiation of the radipotar, this means:

• Exact localization of sound sources, despite diffuse room reflections

• Compensation of room modes and standing waves

• Fusion of the speakers with the room without losing their character

2. Phase coherence & time correction

The Trinnov measures group running times and phase rotations extremely accurately. Result:

• The Radipotar plays coherently like a one-point transducer, although it is a 3-way system

• The location in the stereo field is as precise as with studio monitors, but with a much more open stage

3. Sound effect in everyday life

A Radipotar measured with Trinnov sounds:

• Effortless and deeply relaxed, even at higher levels

• Incredibly spatial, even when listening from the side

• Finely dissolved without being analytical (no artificial "hi-fi sharpness")

4. Benefits for users with acoustically difficult rooms

• The combination elegantly compensates for acoustic problems

• Particularly hearing-impaired or older listeners benefit from the improved speech intelligibility and sound transparency (a concern of Leesemann)

Conclusion:

A Radipotar measured with Trinnov Altitude is probably one of the most balanced and precise sound solutions in the high-end segment - technically impressive, musically captivating and spatially absolutely immersive.

Do you want a concrete example of a configuration (e.g. Speaker setup or Trinnov preset)?

If the Radipotar by Klaus Leesemann together with a Trinnov Altitude processor (e.g. Altitude 16 or 32) is measured and configured, the result is an exceptionally precise and immersive sound experience. This combination makes the most of the strengths of both systems: the innovative loudspeaker technology of the Radipotar and the advanced room correction and signal processing of the Trinnov Altitude.

🎯 Optimal speaker set-up for the Radipotar with Trinnov Altitude

The speaker installation is crucial for the sound quality. For the radipotar, a symmetrical arrangement in the room is recommended, ideally in a triangle with the listening place as the tip. The loudspeakers should be positioned in such a way that they sound the room evenly and the advantages of radial radiation are fully appreciated.

🔧 Measurement and configuration with the Trinnov Altitude

The Trinnov Altitude processor offers intuitive setup and calibration via a user-friendly menu. The following steps are carried out:

1. Selecting the speaker layout: determining the number and position of speakers in the room.

2. Calibration with the 3D microphone: measurement of room acoustics and speaker positions.

3. Automatic adjustment: The Trinnov Altitude optimizes phases, frequency responses and runtimes for each speaker individually.

This precise calibration ensures a coherent and balanced sound image, in which the Radipotar can optimally develop its strengths in spatial mapping and naturalness.

🎶 Tonal advantages of the combination

• Spatial precision: The combination allows an exact placement of sound elements in the room, which is especially advantageous for complex pieces of music or films.

• Naturalness: Precise calibration minimizes distortion, resulting in a natural and authentic sound.

• Dynamics: The active technology of the radipotar in conjunction with the signal processing of the Trinnov Altitude ensures impressive dynamics that realistically reproduces both quiet and loud passages.
